For successful online marketing you need great exposure. You need people to see you. A lot of people believe that having a website or blog they will automatically be seen. That is not true. If you concentrate more on your business and forget about marketing and advertising, you might not be in business long. The tips and instructions here will help you get more people seeing you. The first blog was probably created around 1997 according to my research. According to Technorati.com, there are approximately 175 million blogs. Blogs are big and important on the Internet. Blogs cover all ranges of topics, and are great marketing tools for businesses and others on the Internet. A lot of people do not realize how crucial Internet exposure is for marketing your blog successfully. A lot of people automatically assume because they have a website or blog they are being seen. Also, there are many things you must do to get a high ranking with the Google search engine (and others).

Did you know surveys have consistantly found that 82-88% of people go online for goods and services. Research has shown that if you are not on the top 3 pages of a search engine in a category, (Florida Travel, Miami plumbers, etc.) there is roughly a 60% chance or more you will not be seen. And to prove it, how many pages deep do you go to look for something on Google, Yahoo, etc.? 1? 2? 3? 4? Then stop? I have over 40 blogs. Most on Google Blogger and some on WordPress. I prefer Google. My Google blogs get to page one of Google the fastest. Mostly Florida travel, Florida fishing, and movies. The only way for you to get more exposure is: Know the tips and tricks of SEO, link with me, or link with someone else with proven exposure. I can create a blog with information and photos about you, your business, or organization. I do all the things necessary to keep you at the top pages of Google. It's that simple. The average daily SE hits for "Florida Travel" is 45, while "Florida Travel Guides" gets an average of 111. Another example is "Key West Florida" gets 45 average daily SE hits, while "Key West" get 1032 average hits daily. That is a huge difference. THE THINGS THAT YOU MUST HAVE AND USE FOR A SITE OR BLOG TO BE SUCCESSFUL

Every one on my blogs utilize the following items and tools:

1- Meta Tags: These tags provide data to the search engine. They are used to specify page description, keyword relevancy, and indexing the blog. Google says their search engine stopped using these about 10 years ago, but the other SE probably still use these. People in forums all agree that no one should stop putting meta tags in their html code.

2- Link Popularity: This shows how many other sites are linking to you. This shows the SE how popular your sit is. The more links to you, the better the SE will rank you.

3- Keywords Tags: These describe the important link content of your site. However Google stopped indexing these tags about 10 years ago. But the other search engines could still be looking for these.

4- Keyword Traffic Analyzer: This shows you approximately how many daily searches your keywords get. Very important tool.

5- Backlinks: Sometimes called inbound links, backlinks are the lifeblood of a Search Engine Positioning. In order for a blog or site to be at the top of a search engine like Google, you have to have a large number of backlinks. Backlinks are links from one site to another.

6- Link Count: These are links that go back to your blog or site. When adding links, make sure they are relevant to your blog. You do not want your travel blog to have a link to a movie blog. Building the proper links will be rewarded by a search engine. And build links slowly. Don't do a hundred or more a day. Search engines will also frown upon this. Do ten a day for example. Be reasonable with links.

7- Daily URL submissions to search engines: This is a must every day, and some people do it twice a day to stay ranked high on the SE. Never skip a day doing this. Your exposure and traffic will drop like a rock in water.

8- Daily forum threads and posts leaving URL link and tags: This will get you to the top pages of Google fast. One time I was on page one of Google in 38 minutes after submitting a comment and my blog link to a forum.

All of these thing are crucial to getting on the top pages of a search engine. It is a lot of work and is not easy. The funny thing is some of my blogs stay on page one every day, week after week, and some I have to work a little at keeping them high on Google. But I can get any of my blogs to page 1 overnight. ADDING VIDEOS TO YOUR SITE

This is a no-brainer. Studies have shown that you must get the attention and interest of a visitor within 10 seconds or they will probably leave and might not ever be back again. Videos can create more traffic to your site or blog. Video can do much more than words and photos can. Want more prove on how much people like videos? YouTube usually can generate 50-75 million visits. In one month. If want to increase your exposure online, spend the money and add video. If you use Google Analytics, you will see how much time visitors spend more time on your site among other analysis.

ADD SLIDESHOWS TO YOUR BLOG OR WEBSITE

Really make an impact to your site by adding a slideshow. This is a fantastic way to keep traffic at your site longer. Do as many as you want. They are really easy. It is so much better than taking up lots of space with photos. Google has a great slideshow tool by creating web albums. You can use this in Google Picasa. Create your web album, then upload your photos. Then you can edit and add captions. When finished, at the top of your photos you will see "slideshow". Click on that and then to the right you will see "link to this album". Click that and just below you will see "slideshow". A window will pop up where you can size it and embed the code. Very easy. It will not take you very long to get the hang of it.

I have used photobucket for some slideshows, but not anymore. I canceled my account because they censor your photos and delete them without your knowledge. This is bad. I only use Google Picasa.

YouTube

YouTube is a huge venue for online marketing. In just one month last year there were 75 million visitors. That is massive traffic. Take advantage of that to market your blog. Add a video or slideshow to put on YouTube. As many as you can. But also, in as many different categories as possible. This is perhaps the best online marketing strategy that will get you major exposure.

Two Bonus Tips You Won't Find Anywhere Else

OK here are two places you can create links to your blog or website. I doubt you will find these anywhere else. Everybody on blogs, websites, and forums are all on auto-pilot when it comes to SEO tips and suggestions. It's amazing how they all suggest the usual things. These I found by accident.

1- Flickr.com- This site from Yahoo lets you upload photos to your photostream. Very popular. When you Google and click on images, photos from here always come up a lot. Here's the tip: Set up an account. When you upload photos, in the description box, you can add your URL. So the more photos with different titles, the more chances people will click to see your website or blog URL. Nice.

2- Topix.com- A very popular travel site. Here you can add photos too. So set up an account. On the home page, you will see a menu across the top of page. Click local. Then on the left, you will see photos. But before you start adding photos, at the top left you will see location. Always change the location to match your pictures. Very easy. Also tip two: You can add your URL in the description box. But what I do is wait until my photos are approved, then I go back and add my URL. But that's me. For what it's worth.
